The Hammersmith Group is a strategy
consulting firm that advises developers of historic,
luxury, and sustainable properties. The firm also
consults to city leaders on reviving their historic
downtowns. The firm's strategy is based on the belief
that historic preservation, open space, and heritage
assets can be powerful catalysts for economic development,
and that places with a strong sense of identity can
command premium pricing.
The Hammersmith Group is
a leader in marketing new developments. Our approach
is markedly different from the conventional marketing
approach in that we align individual elements (architectural
design, marketing, press, sales experience, and delivery
of the final units) for maximum strategic effect.
The firm and its client projects
have appeared in the Associated Press, BBC, Businessweek,
CNBC, CNN/Money, Dwell, Entrepreneur, Forbes,
Fortune, International Herald-Tribune, Los Angeles
Times,
MSNBC, Newsweek, NPR, Oprah, People,
USA Today, US News & World
Report, and the Wall Street Journal.
Our strategy
The Hammersmith Group helps developers differentiate
their projects so that the residences are not
forced to compete on price. We position our clients'
projects on their distinct features and strengths,
and position those qualities to create a maximum
emotional connection with prospective buyers.
We advise our clients on integrating 'press hooks'
for regional and national media into the planning
and design of their development. Our goal is
to raise awareness, increase demand, and to convert
this into quantifiable benefits such as faster
sell-through and justification for raising prices.
In addition, we strive to align individual projects
with a client's long-term strategy and vision
so that they can help reinforce the developer's
brand and vision.
